After weeks of saving every penny, I have finally managed to save up enough money to buy the essential tool to keep my artistic dreams alive - the XP Pen!

It's going to take some time to get used to the new drawing environment, but fortunately I'm not one to be defeated easily. What really got to me though were the days without a tablet - they were the absolute worst, filled with endless boredom and sadness.

Going forward, my goal is to create my comics more smoothly, and the first thing I need to get going is my publishing plan! Here's to hoping that the next phase of my journey brings successful and enjoyable comic creations.

After my Wacom tablet, which I've been using for many years, broke down, I haven't been able to afford a new drawing tool due to various reasons and financial pressures. This means that I haven't been able to create any new comic work for the last few months. It's really frustrating and it's getting me down.

I have no idea when I'll be able to scrape together enough money to buy a new drawing tool, but I'll do my best. It's been hard not being able to share any new artwork with you during this time, and I apologise for that.

My original plan was to create a long story comic called "Pharaoh and the Stray Dog" in June, but unfortunately, that plan has to be put on hold for now. It's really frustrating, I must say!

Notes is a new space on Substack for us to share links, short posts, quotes, photos, and more. I plan to use it for things that don’t fit in the newsletter, like work-in-progress or quick questions.

Yesterday, without warning, my trusty Wacom Cintiq tablet finally died and I can no longer use it. It has been my companion for many years and I'm grateful for all the creations it has helped me make.

Now I'm not sure which brand of tablet to choose for my future work. Perhaps I should take this opportunity to take a break and go outside for a while.

Why did I suddenly make this decision?

Well, ever since I started using AI drawing technology, I have higher and deeper expectations for my work, especially in the design of the characters. With the assistance of AI, the details of character design can be better and more appropriate. In order to create higher-quality works, I made the decision to redraw the story.

I hope to release the brand new V and the stray dog story as soon as possible in the next few months. Stay tuned everyone!

I think I'll use Midjourney work as a reference to improve my own creations.

Some people worry that technology will put us creators out of work, but I don't think so. Personally, I think this trend is inevitable, so it's better to face it with a positive attitude.

I used to be obsessed with creating animations. This brief animation is my work at the time. I'd like to share it with you here, and I hope to create an animation of V and the stray dog in the future. I'm very excited about it.

I've been running the Substack newsletter for several months, and while the number of fans hasn't met my expectations, I still get a few new subscribers each month. This gives me a lot of confidence. I'm hoping to have more time to update the work here in the coming days.
